About the Role
This is an incredible opportunity for a highly strategic governance professional to join our team at the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
As the Director Governance Risk & Privacy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the maturity of our governance, risk, privacy and assurance capabilities. Significant to the role will be your support to the NHVR Board and Audit and Risk Committee, providing trusted advice and escalation.
In addition, in this newly created position you will have oversight of internal audit, business continuity, fraud and corruption control, and Public Interest Disclosure, ensuring frameworks, systems and processes are responsive and fit for purpose.

This position can be based in either our Brisbane or Parramatta office. It will be offered as a 3-year term contract with annual review and the opportunity to extend on successful performance.
About You
With extensive experience in senior governance and risk positions in similar environments, you will have a strong understanding of privacy legislation and government security frameworks.
As a relationship-focused leader you will demonstrate success in building capability and supporting senior leaders and board with meeting their legislative and fiduciary responsibilities.
With effective communication skills and the ability to engage and influence, you will be accomplished in building collaborative partnerships that enable good governance culture to support strategic direction.
Previous experience in presenting at senior or c-suite and board will be critical in your success.
