We’re seeking an experienced Contracts and Supplier Specialist to join our Procurement and Contracts team. You’ll bring 5+ years’ experience in a comparable commercial role, with a strong track record managing the full contract cycle from development and negotiation through to implementation, performance management and renewal. This role will suit someone with experience working in the procurement and contracts space within a complex organisation.

In this position, you will manage the NHVR’s Strategic contractual arrangements and take ownership of the full contract lifecycle—drafting and negotiating terms, ensuring compliance, monitoring supplier performance, managing renewals and variations, and resolving contract issues as they arise. Your experience in similar roles will be critical to ensuring contracts are effectively managed, strategically aligned, and deliver measurable value across the organisation.

This is a permanent role based in Newstead. Reporting to the Procurement Governance, Process and Systems Lead, you’ll play a key role in strengthening supplier relationships, mitigating risk, and improving operational efficiency across the organisation. The NHVR’s Procurement and Contracts team is currently experiencing growth and significant transformation, making this an exciting time to join the organisation.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Draft, negotiate, execute, monitor, renew, and close out contracts
  • Provide expert advice on contract terms and compliance
  • Resolve disputes and non-compliance issues
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues
  • Maintain a centralised contract repository (Vendor Panel)
  • Report on contract status, expiries, renewals, and risks
  • Develop and implement contract frameworks and templates
  • Collaborate with procurement to improve cost and process efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with WH&S and NHVR policies

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • 5+ years in contract management or procurement
  • Degree in Supply, Procurement, Business, Commerce, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of contract management principles
