About the role

Working as Data Architect your role will be responsible for designing and evolving the organisation’s data architecture posture to enable secure, high‑quality and trusted data across analytics, operations and digital products.

You will ensure data models, platforms and integration patterns align with enterprise architecture, business outcomes and regulatory obligations, while governing data quality, security and lifecycle management practices.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Define and maintain data architecture roadmaps and specification standards leveraging Data Flow Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, Data Definitions and semantics.
  • Design solution data architectures for programs and platforms assuring delivery quality and conformance to data architecture.
  • Establish and embed data governance and lifecycle practices and assure data security, privacy, and compliance by design.
  • Model enterprise data, evaluate schematics, and drive semantic consistency.
  • Consult, influence, and provide specialist advice around emerging technologies and evolving patterns.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess tertiary qualifications or demonstrate demonstrated (7-10 years) experience in data architecture solution architecture, or data engineering with substantial modelling and governance exposure.

Your toolkit for success:

  • Experience across data platforms (e.g., warehouses, lakes, streaming) and integration patterns.
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments including on-prem and cloud.
  • Understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
  • Understanding of product management, agile principles and development methodologies and capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt.
  • Experience developing data architecture patterns, strategies, and roadmaps.
