We are looking for a proactive and detail‑focused Information Governance Officer to support our recordkeeping program and help staff get the most out of SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365.
If you enjoy improving digital ways of working, supporting others, and ensuring information is well‑structured and compliant, this role offers a great mix of operational work, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Deliver day‑to‑day recordkeeping activities including data migration, file creation, classification, retrieval, and disposal
- Provide helpdesk support and system reviews to ensure information quality and compliance
- Maintain SharePoint pages, navigation, document libraries, and published content
- Support business areas with SharePoint governance, permissions, site structure, and content management
- Assist teams to set up and manage SharePoint sites and Microsoft Teams, including channels and access
- Provide first‑line advice on collaboration tools and escalate issues where needed
- Monitor SharePoint and Teams for governance, security, and recordkeeping compliance
- Help uplift digital capability through guidance, support materials, and practical advice
This is a permanent full time opportunity. Ideally, the preferred candidate will be located in our Brisbane office however applications from other locations may be considered.
What you’ll bring
- Experience with electronic document and records management systems
- Knowledge of recordkeeping principles and Queensland Government Information Management Standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language
- Experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A customer‑focused approach and the ability to build positive working relationships
