About the role

Our Digital Enablement team are the  engine room behind the development and delivery of our digital products at the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR). Our diverse digital platforms include, the NHVR Portal, the spatial program and a number of, fixed and mobile, compliance and enforcement applications.

We are passionate about what we do, and we have ambitious plans to build upon the successful digital advancements of previous years. With a newly reimagined team structure we are now positioned to continue our digital journey through providing a high-level digital experience for our customers through the effective design and delivery of cutting-edge digital products.

As the Manager Digital Development you will take a leadership role for developing the applications that underpin core NHVR digital platforms including the portal spatial program and compliance and enforcement technologies program. Ensuring an agile and highly responsive approach is taken to solutions development including development methodologies and the creation of high performing teams.

You will work closely with all areas across the Data and Technology Division to develop core solutions and ensure that necessary budgets and projects are in place to evolve solutions in line with corporate objectives and the Data and Technology roadmap.

Reporting to the Director Digital Enablement you will customer is at the heart of everything we do, that people matter, that we build strong and collaborative partnerships and that we add value for our all our stakeholders.

 

About You

  • Substantial experience in IT solutions development, project management and associated development teams.
  • Extensive experience leading very large teams. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading agile development teams to deliver against budget, timeline and quality targets.
  • Demonstrated experience with predictive, iterative, and adaptive planning approaches.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Effective analytical, problem solving and organisational skills with an ability to meet priorities, competing deadlines and use sound judgement in decision making.
  • Demonstrated inclusive, collaborative, and engaging approach, with the ability to consult with a broad range of stakeholders, and coach and mentor a team.
