Opportunity for a Procurement Team Lead (Corporate & Operations) the role is responsible for leading and coordinating procurement activities across the Corporate & Operations Portfolio. This role provides strategic procurement guidance, ensures compliance with organisational and government procurement frameworks, and partners closely with business to deliver effective sourcing strategies and high-quality commercial outcomes. The role is full time and will be based at Newstead Head Office.

About the role

  • Will lead end-to-end procurement activities across the Corporate & Operations portfolio, overseeing planning, prioritisation, and delivery to ensure efficient, compliant, and value-driven outcomes across all stages of the procurement lifecycle.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, provide procurement guidance, and align outcomes with organisational objectives.
  • Develop and manage high-value, high-risk sourcing activities, including RFX documentation, evaluation, and contract management.
  • Coordinate supplier engagement, manage relationships, and provide strategic commercial advice to support value optimisation.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering capability development and consistent delivery of sourcing activities.
  • Drive procurement planning, process improvements, and compliance with organisational policies and governance standards.
  • Contribute to reporting, spend insights, and strategic initiatives to support executive decision-making and continuous improvement.

About You

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated 7 years + procurement experience within a large, complex organisation and a strong ability to identify and deliver value through strategic sourcing initiatives. You will have experience leading high-value, high-risk tender processes and managing evaluation panels, supported by strong knowledge of commercial negotiations, contract management, and supplier management. Experience engaging with suppliers, managing relationships, and resolving contract matters is essential.  

You will also have experience using Vendor Panel and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), with the ability to analyse complex data and prepare procurement reports, insights, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.   Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, organisational, and project management skills are key, along with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Ideally, you will hold a degree in Supply, Procurement, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline, or have equivalent experience within complex organisations. Formal procurement qualifications such as CIPS, or an equivalent certification, are also desirable.
