Program Change Lead

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Change Lead with 8+ years’ experience to lead organisational and technology change across key programs, including the Compliance & Enforcement Transformation Program.

In this role, you’ll work as part of the Program Leadership Team to deliver change that supports program outcomes and achieves enduring benefits for NHVR. You’ll develop and deliver effective change, communication and engagement strategies, with demonstrated experience presenting, influencing and delivering change plans to executive audiences and engaging senior stakeholders to build understanding, alignment, and commitment to change.

Based at Newstead, this is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering meaningful and sustainable transformation across NHVR.

About the Role

• Manage and lead structured change management methodology and frameworks to develop a customised and scaled approach for managing the impact of transformational organisational change for the assigned programs, projects, or initiatives.

• Develop and implement strategies that will drive and support organisation-wide adoption and proficiency with changes that impact employees across all levels for the program.
• Support the business to be ready to accept the change, utilise new capability, and ensure the successful delivery and embedding of this change into the business.
• Manage both dependencies and interfaces between projects and manage change risks across the program.
• Coach and support key internal senior stakeholders to drive organisational change adoption.
• Responsible for creating and implementing a tailored set of change management, communication, and communication artifacts and plans for moving people forward for each project and other strategic initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across all projects to integrate change management activities into program management planning and development.
• Assist in the development of measurement strategies to determine business readiness and sustainable success/progress of plan milestones/outcomes.
• Proactively and effectively manage resistance while generating collaboration and alignment between business units.
• Actively partner and build relationships with all levels of stakeholders through negotiation and influence to ensure program and project outcomes are achieved.
• Promote program and project teamwork and role model organisational and team values to achieve program outcomes.
• Identify and implement training and education requirements and developing relevant training needs analysis and plans.
• Provide relevant change management leadership and support for key program projects.
• Adhere to all NHVR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NHVR internal processes

 About You

• Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills, strong skills in negotiation and customer management.
• Demonstrated inclusive, collaborative, and engaging approach, including the ability to consult, facilitate, negotiate, and influence with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience with predictive, iterative, and adaptive planning.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential to the Role:

• Formal change management education e.g. PROSCI
• Proven experience in leading organisation and technology change for programs and projects for at least 8 – 10 years within a medium to large organisation.
• Proven experience working on a large program in a change management role, including organisational design, process improvement, job design, system changes, training, and communications.
• Proven experience in leading a change function within a complex program with internal and external stakeholders.

 Highly Regarded:

• Experience and prior working knowledge of the heavy vehicle industry and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working in large process workflow / case management dominated systems is a positive.
• A mix of commercial and government experience.
