Project Manager

As the Project Manager, you will lead the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of key business systems, processes, and organisational initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative project management strategies that support successful business outcomes, while driving employee engagement through training and educational activities across the NHVR.

You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring effective governance, risk management, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and benefits realisation. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities of this role are:

• Deliver and manage key projects and initiatives for the NHVR.
• Deliver and follow through with project plans including budgets, resource management, and risk management.
• Monitor the progress of projects to ensure milestones and performance indicators are met and prepare project status reports for the Executive and relevant governance committees.
• Undertake post-implementation reviews and reporting.
• Investigate and negotiate change proposals with the relevant stakeholders.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a framework and methods for effective communication to inform and engage relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Resolves issues to ensure progress is maintained.
• Assure the quality and timely delivery of products and outcomes by vendors where appropriate.
• Establish and manage contracts with vendors both for the implementation activities an ongoing delivery of support activities where appropriate.
• Comply with all NHVR policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all NHVR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NHVR internal processes.
• Comply with WH&S policies and procedures and contribute and promote a safe and healthy work environment.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Experience delivering projects that have intra-program dependencies.
• Experienced analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, and organisational skills with an ability to meet priorities, and competing deadlines and use of sound judgment in decision making.
• Demonstrated proven experience in the successful delivery of projects (ie. to time, quality, and budget).
• Demonstrated ability to learn new, complex subject matter in support of project delivery.
• Demonstrated strong written communication skills including the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex issues and risks in high-level documentation including test reports or briefings.
• Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and oral, including demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with internal and external key stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of people to provide consistent, responsive, and high-quality advice and project support.
