Exciting Opportunity: Senior P&C Business Partner

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is seeking an experienced Senior P&C Business Partner to lead a team of Business Partners and partner with leaders across a complex national organisation. The role will be based at Head Office in Newstead. 

As the Senior P&C Business Partner this role is focussed on helping leaders solve business challenges through workforce capability, organisational design, leadership effectiveness, and cyclical discipline. You will provide workforce insights, coaching and practical solutions that support performance and build capability across your portfolio. This includes working in a centre of excellence model, providing advice in relation to people and culture matters, and execution of People Strategy initiatives across NHVR.

About the Role

• You will Lead a team of 3 business partners in supporting their portfolio.
• Providing leadership coaching, support, tools and initiatives to build a safe, constructive and high-performance culture.
• Supporting Managers and Directors execute their people strategies and employee lifecycle activities including performance, talent and succession, workforce planning, capability alignment.
• Developing and utilising people data to support data driven decision making.
• Ensuring compliance, governance and risk management of people related matters within your portfolio.
• Developing and implementing business specific PSC initiatives aligned to a safe and high-performance culture.
• Managing organisational redesign, consultation and capability requirements across your business areas.

About you

• 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong business acumen and the ability to understand organisational priorities and workforce implications.
• Can foster build strong trusted business relationships.
• The ability to remain objective, balanced and communicate with influence on sensitive/complex matters at all leadership levels.
• Understanding of change management and effective consultation implementation.
• Experience in improving PSC initiatives that either enhance engagement, leader relationships, align to strategic goals and promote good practice.
• Contributing to the management of complex projects which have an enterprise-wide focus which achieve the stated outcomes and objectives within time and budget.

Essential to the Role

• Tertiary Human Resources qualifications & a minimum of five years in a generalist human resource role performing duties as is, or like, those listed in this position description.
• Having worked as part of a fast paced, positive customer and delivery focussed team
• Must have a proactive nature, a sense of curiosity and a passion for good practice for this diverse role
• Data reflection utilising for Business insights reporting
