About the role

As the Senior Policy officer – PBS Enhancements your main objective is to support the review of existing PBS standards, implementation of revised standards, and the development of PBS template vehicles.

 

Key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Support the Project Manager – PBS Enhancements to deliver a program of PBS reform projects within specific timeframes.
  • Communicate clearly and openly with internal and external stakeholders to support collaboration and project transparency.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project management artefacts, including project briefs, plans, and status reports.
  • Prepare input into policy proposals, briefings, correspondence and presentations.
  • Undertake analysis of potential reforms, including working with mechanical engineers to translate findings of engineering modelling and analysis for both technical and non-technical audiences.

To be successful in this role you will possess

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects or tasks, to achieve specific objectives and deliver expected outcomes.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, ensuring consistent delivery of project milestones and responsibilities under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively; work collaboratively across teams; respond constructively to feedback; and demonstrate initiative, accountability, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated strong written communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex issues and risks in high level documentation including reports, briefings, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate matters to achieve desired outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline or demonstrable professional experience (e.g. mechanical or civil engineering, planning, public policy, business, economics) highly desirable.
