About the role

As the Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, including email and diary management for the Chief. Coordinate and respond to enquiries and correspondence and assist in the coordination, preparation, and delivery of reports, dashboards, and executive correspondence and document management.

Key responsibilities of this role are: (but not limited to)

  • To ensure a high level of discretion, diplomacy and judgement in responding to enquiries arising from the executive team, senior managers, and other internal customers.
  • Provide professional support and assistance to the Chief, senior managers, and other members of the Division.
  • Communicate and liaise with senior executives from public and private organisations on a wide range of issues, respect confidentiality and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Provide administrative support to the Division as required.
  • Ensure effective correspondence and document management processes.
  • Prepare, facilitate, follow up and action all correspondence for the Division in line with correct templates, standard wording and grammar to ensure deadlines / timeframes are met.

 About You

To be successful in this role you will possess

  • 3+ years’ experience in administration or as an EA
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly and concisely prepare a range of documentation for the business.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to manage effective relationships with customers, stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of people to provide consistent, responsive and high quality support.
  • Extensive experience in using a range of and business systems, MS Office suite and information technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to apply sound judgement to decision making.
