Exciting Opportunity for a Procurement Specialist (Data and Technology) this role will be responsible for delivering best value procurement outcomes that align with organisational strategy, policy, and priorities. This role will lead and support sourcing and procurement activities across assigned categories, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role will be based in Newstead, Head Office.
About the Role
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong ICT procurement skills and capabilities, including the ability to develop and implement procurement plans and initiatives aligned with stakeholder needs and organisational priorities to maximise value. You will undertake the planning, market analysis, coordination, and implementation of low to medium value and complexity procurement projects, supporting continuous improvement within the procurement function and leading the execution of key project elements. The role involves developing RFX documentation, including risk strategies, evaluation plans, and reports in consultation with key stakeholders, as well as assisting the Procurement Team Lead with procurement activities.
You will work closely with stakeholders to develop procurement scopes and requirements documentation to support effective market engagement and sourcing, maintain and update the procurement pipeline for assigned categories, and act as the primary point of contact for procurement matters within your portfolio. The role will also support forward procurement planning activities. Ensuring compliance with procurement policy, management standards, and relevant legislation is essential, including acting as Probity Officer where required and providing guidance on compliance matters.
About you
You will bring demonstrated minimum 5+ years demonstrated experience in ICT procurement roles within a large, complex, and diverse organisation. experience in tender development and evaluation, along with practical knowledge of commercial negotiations, contract management, and supplier management and vendor panel experience . You have a proven track record of identifying value-enhancing opportunities and implementing initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes. Experience engaging with suppliers, providing evidence-based feedback, and resolving minor contract issues is essential.
You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with vendors and stakeholders, negotiate and influence outcomes, and deliver high-quality customer service. You have strong analytical, organisational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex information to deliver practical, business-focused solutions. You are committed to best-practice procurement, continuous improvement, and working collaboratively to achieve team objectives while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
