Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Procurement Specialist ICT. In this role you will be responsible for leading and facilitating strategic end-to-end procurement activities for Data and Technology (D&T) initiatives that deliver fit-for-purpose and cost-effective ICT goods and services for the NHVR. This role reports into the Procurement Team Lead, based in Newstead, Head Office.

About the Role

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong procurement expertise and the capability to lead and manage end-to-end procurement activities within the D&T Portfolio. This includes overseeing sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier management for high-value and high-risk procurements. The role is responsible for developing and implementing procurement plans and initiatives that align with stakeholder needs and organisational priorities to maximise value, while also supporting the Procurement Team Lead with broader procurement activities. The position requires adherence to established procurement governance and processes, including acting as a Probity Officer, identifying and escalating instances of non-compliance, and providing advice to strengthen procurement practices. The successful candidate will contribute to forward procurement planning, maintain and update the procurement pipeline for assigned categories, and provide strategic advice to stakeholders on sourcing approaches and risk mitigation strategies. In addition, the role will drive continuous improvement within the D&T Portfolio by planning procurement initiatives to ensure timely delivery and by deriving insights from procurement data to inform decisions, build capability, and improve procurement outcomes.

About you

You will bring demonstrated minimum 7+ years experience in ICT procurement roles within a large, complex, and diverse organisation. experience in tender development and evaluation, along with practical experience and contract and Supplier management, engaging with suppliers, providing evidence-based feedback, and resolving minor contract issues is essential. Vendor Panel and D365 is essential, together with the ability to analyse complex data.

You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with vendors and stakeholders, negotiate and influence outcomes, and deliver high-quality customer service. You have strong analytical, organisational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex information to deliver practical, business-focused solutions. You are committed to best-practice procurement, continuous improvement, and working collaboratively to achieve team objectives while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
